Beijing, April
19, 2004 – Powerise and Microsoft signed a memorandum of
cooperation today in Beijing, announcing that the two parties
will form a global strategic partnership, and cooperate in the
fields of training and certificate, software development, sales
and marketing, corporation protocol and international project
cooperation. Present at the ceremony were the leaders from the
Ministry of Information Industry, the Ministry of Science and
Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, China Software Industry
Association, and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, the
People’s Government of Changsha City, the Department of Science
and Technology and the Department of Information Industry of
Hunan Province, and the Management Committee of Changsha State
Hi-Tech and Industrial Development Zone. Larry Ding , Chairman
of Powerise Technology, and Tim Chen, Vice President of
Microsoft and CEO of Microsoft Greater China, were also present
at the signing ceremony.
According to
the memorandum, Powerise and Microsoft will co-develop vertical
industry application solutions based on the Microsoft .NET
platform. Both parties will fully take their advantages in
industries and technologies to bring about more business values
to enterprise customers.

Vice Director of the Information Product Management Department
under Ministry of Information Industry, extended his welcome of
the cooperation between Powerise and Microsoft. He pointed out
that the establishment of strategic partnership between Powerise
and Microsoft complies with the trend of development; It will
not only benefit both parties, but is significant in putting
forward the cultivation of Chinese software professionals,
improving the technology and management skills of domestic
software enterprises, and boosting the development and
internationalization of the domestic software industry; I
sincerely hope that the two parties can contribute more to the
development of Chinese software industry and China’s information
construction.

Powerise and
Microsoft have already carried out long-term cooperation in
different layers and ways. In 1998, the Powerise-Microsoft
training center began its operation. In 2003, Powerise Software
Park and Microsoft initiated closer cooperation in software
research and development and production. In coming months,
Microsoft will establish a training center in Hunan to provide
all-round training and Microsoft .NET solutions for Powerise and
other partners.

The Memorandum of Outstanding (MOU) of Powerise & Microsoft Business Solution Cooperation was signed on Oct. 21th, 2004. Both parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in the products, technologies, services, trainings and consulting. Microsoft will provide Powerise with MBS platform products, .net technology and products, and technology support. Powerise will provide Microsoft with MBS localization, project customerlization, customer training, customer consulting and services. A substantial progress with this cooperation has been achieved since two companies became the global strategy alliance partners on April 19th.
Leaders from the Government of Hunan, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Information Industry, and Government of ChangSha and the Governing Council of Development District joined in this ceremony and extended their congratulations. Mr. Cheng YongZheng, the vice president and primary executive officer of Microsoft in the great Chinese District, and Mr. Lin Huichun, the president of Powerise information technology Ltd. attended the signing ceremony.
On April 19th, 2004, both parties signed the MOU of global strategy alliance partners in Beijing and built a global strategy cooperation relationship. This cooperation has caught lots of attention from the world since the MOU was signed. This signing ceremony demonstrates that a substantial progress has been reached.
Mr. Zhou BoHua, the governor of Hunan, stated: “this cooperation has been fit the mutual interests and helpful in the healthy development of information industry.” He was glad to know that Powerise’s internationalization progress became faster. He also greatly favored the exploration of Chinese market by Microsoft. He believed that the cooperation has entered into a positive operation stage, which will play an example role in the tremendous development.
Mr. Cheng Yongzheng indicated that Microsoft would like to strengthen this kind of cooperation with allies and help domestic clients to explore the potential of IT application and reach more business values. Not only would more solutions be provided for enterprise customers in the computer area by the Powerise & Microsoft cooperation, but also it would help domestic enterprises enter into wider-open international market through in-depth cooperation.
Mr. Lin HuiChun indicated that this signing specifically demonstrated Powerise’s four internationalization aspects, talents internationalization, technology internationalization, management internationalization and market internationalization. Today, the Powerise & Microsoft cooperation would be beneficial in understanding local enterprises’ needs, and then provide application solutions based on global platform technologies. He believed that it will create a positive impact on the development of software industry and the construction of industry informationlization and enterprise informationlization in China.
It has been a consecutive and friendly cooperation between Microsoft and Powerise in the different levels and ways. In 1998, a full operation was started in Powerise & Microsoft Training Center. In 2003, Powerise had a close cooperation in the software exploration and production with Microsoft. Recently, Microsoft founded a training center in Hunan and provided comprehensive trainings and solutions based on Microsoft .Net platform for Powersie and its cooperation partners.
